You driving round town with the girl I love and I'm like..........
If you don't know the rest then google it and you will get the message. It's borderline hilarious and the fact that it has become a mainstream hit with over 29 million views of the music video is mind boggling. Personally I think that this phenomenon lends itself to the fact that Americans are more than a little bit giddy about telling somebody off and having no regard for someone else's feelings. Lately its to the point of en epidemic. A tone of moderation, coordination and teamwork are long gone in the real world and asking your every day person to hop into another pair of shoes and live a little bit deprived won't be an easy sell. At the end of the day Cee Lo's song is catchy and easy to sing and a whole lot of fun- but why?
Around Christmas time you see outpourings of good hearted giving and contributions to every charity under the sun. People take pride in showing their kindness for the needy around the holidays in cahoots with it getting cold and keeping people warm. Food, Toys and Warmth are all things that we should consider giving away as much as we can this month to make some less fortunate people a little bit happier. It's the opposite of Cee Lo's top track- but I certainly don't mind if you keep on singing.
I am looking forward to working the HEART OF CAROLINA FOOD DRIVE tomorrow at Harris Teeter on Raeford Road. Come out and bring a couple canned goods!
